“Women are real architects of society”
Every woman and employee wants to be made feel special in their daily lives and on occasions.
International Women’s day 8th March 2016, was one such day that was celebrated with great enthusiasm and spirit at WIPL.
From the start of the day, when all the ladies entered to a decorated office, with handmade cards, flowers and chocolates on each of our desks, we felt special, each one of us felt appreciated and valued. We could see the efforts of our colleagues and CEO himself, who had stepped in very early to complete and help on the decorations. We were just sinking in the beautiful start to our day, when the Big Treat , a morning show of Jai Gangajal, was announced to us. Oh !! What a thrill that was!! And , the idea of leaving the work , without having to think twice, & think about who’d be taking care of it, as all colleagues had stepped in for each of our roles and responsibilities was in itself a proud moment to all of us.
After the lovely movie, we stepped into the office, smelling wonderfully of the surprise that was waiting for us. Each one of us was moved to know, that the team had put in efforts and made a meal for us. And the bigger surprise was, it was no ordinary meal, but atleast a 7 course affair, where it started with Bhel puri, panipuri, mouth watering sandwiches, pizza, vegetable maggi, fried rice, manchurian and sweets. The food was exceptionally delicious and served with so much finesse, that we all were Stumped!!
To wrap up the beautiful day , we had a photo session with beautiful women empowerment messages on cue cards. A rich chocolate strawberry cake was waiting post that for all of us, which was cut with lot of cheering from the team.
All ladies were given a chocolate baskets, which was just cherry on top for each one of us. Not just us, the chocolate baskets were also given to all the married employees to appreciate all the better halves , who give strength and our pillars of the family, this gesture of the management was simply loved by all.
Never have we seen so many surprises in a day. The respect , efforts , coordination and spirit with which everything was done , was the real gift to each one of us. Moments like these empower us as employees and women , and give us strength and hope to go higher, strive harder and achieve more, day by day.
Thank you team for making 8th March 2016 , as one of the best days in our lives and making a mark in Gold, in history of WIPL as well!!
