Copyright Infringement Policy

WIPL respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with applicable law, WIPL has adopted the following policy regarding alleged copyright infringement. This policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and is binding on all users of our services.

This policy outlines procedures for:

  • Filing a complaint regarding alleged copyright infringement

  • Responding via a counter-notice if material was removed in error


1. COMPLAINT PROCEDURE (Copyright Infringement Notification)

To file a valid claim of copyright infringement with WIPL, the complainant must submit a written notice that includes the following information, as required by law:

  • The complainant’s full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address (if available).

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

  • A clear identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.

  • Specific identification and location (URL or other identifying information) of the allegedly infringing material on WIPL’s platform or network.

  • A statement that the complainant has a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that the complainant is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Important: Submitting a false or misleading copyright claim may subject the complainant to legal liability, including damages and attorney’s fees. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, you are strongly advised to consult a qualified attorney before filing a complaint.


2. WIPL’s Response to Valid Notices

Upon receiving a valid infringement notice, WIPL may take one or more of the following actions at its sole discretion:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material;

  • Notify the user or account holder responsible for the content;

  • Temporarily suspend or permanently terminate the associated account or services.

WIPL may keep records of all such notices and actions taken, including sharing a copy of the notice with relevant third parties or making it publicly available, as required or permitted by law.


3. COUNTER-NOTICE PROCEDURE FOR WIPL CUSTOMERS

If you believe material was removed or disabled in error (e.g., misidentification), you may submit a formal counter-notice. To be valid, the counter-notice must contain:

  • Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

  • A physical or electronic signature.

  • A description of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled and the location at which the material appeared before removal.

  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.

  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.

Submission of Counter-Notice:

Counter-notices must be sent to the same contact details provided above for infringement complaints.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, WIPL may, at its discretion, restore the material within 10–14 business days, unless the original complainant notifies us of legal action to prevent restoration.


4. Important Legal Notice

WIPL reserves the right to:

  • Refuse to act on incomplete or misleading claims or counter-notices.

  • Take action to prevent abuse of the copyright reporting process.

  • Modify this policy at any time, with or without notice, as required by law or internal policy.

Use of WIPL services constitutes acceptance of this Copyright Infringement Policy and any future updates.
