Dynamic Email – An interactive way to get more done while staying in your inbox.
[nectar_dropcap color=”#25a8e0″]O[/nectar_dropcap]n March 26, 2019, Google announced the beta version of Dynamic Email for Gmail users. This feature was initiated to give Email an interactive feel. This feature was initially available for only G Suite users who could turn it on from their admin console.
As per the latest G Suite Update, from 2nd July 2019, Google will finally make this feature generally available to all Gmail users both free & paid. The Dynamic email feature of Gmail will be launched as “on” by default for all domains.
Your mailing experience is never going to be the same again.
As email users, whenever we receive a mail, we click on the CTAs mentioned and those take us to the respective websites where we perform rest of our operations. Suppose, you get the same mail, but now instead of getting redirected to the website, you are able to see and make changes in the mail itself. This is the power of the dynamic email.
The Dynamic email basically allows the email senders to embed AMP into messages themselves. This makes your message more actionable and updating it with the most current information now gets easy.
By making messages more actionable, we mean you can RSVP to an event, fill out a questionnaire, browse a catalogue or respond to a comment by remaining at the same Email at the same tab i.e. for users the body of an email would be much like a webpage.
Although as per Google’s update, this feature is currently available for web Gmail users only and will soon roll out for mobile users.
Let’s understand Dynamic email with another example. What happens when someone mentions you in a comment on the Google Docs? You simply get a notification mail. But with Dynamic Email feature turned on, you’ll see an up-to-date thread in Gmail where you can easily reply or resolve the comment, right from within the message.
This is how Pinterest is using Dynamic email feature to discover new ideas and save them to boards. This all is happening within the inbox.
